Volunteer Orientation information:

As a safety measure, we verify who is working with us as we work with the children. We are confident that our volunteers will agree with us that the children are the most important part of this project and their safety is paramount.

All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and answer simple questions about the volunteer's personal information and criminal history. The orientation will also include a mini-shopper training, how the shopping process works and what is/is not allowed to purchase etc.

It is necessary to attend one of these trainings.

Volunteer training dates and times TBA

Refreshments will be served and t-shirts will be handed out.
Thank you to those of you that have served in the past, continue to do so, and to those who have recently joined our team!
IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS THAT WANT TO SHOP, THEY MUST GO THROUGH THE ORIENTATION. WE WILL NOT  ALLOW SHOPPERS TO SIGN UP THE MORNING OF SHOPPING.

The Great Shopping Day ~ 1st Saturday in August

The first weekend in August, qualifying Tehama County children are taken on a shopping trip to purchase new clothing, shoes, and backpacks. Each of these children receive $100.00 worth of clothing in preparation for the school year. They are partnered with a  volunteer shopper who helps them with selections. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who make this a memorable experience for the children and thank you to the staff at the Red Bluff Walmart store for making our shopping experience exceptional!

Children participate in this event BY SELECTION ONLY!
Since 2004, over 2000 local children have gone back to school
looking and feeling good about themselves!

Thank you Red Bluff!
