The Stuff Our Backpacks Campaign-Month of June
Each June, in and around Red Bluff and Tehama County, you will find our mini-backpacks placed on the counters of local businesses. Outside of private tax-deductible donations, this is our major fundraiser for each year. Thank you to all of the businesses that allow us have our backpacks
on their counters each year.

Application Days
Applicants are encouraged to apply on any of the three application dates, as preference for the shopping day is not given on a first come first served basis.

The Great Shopping Day ~ 2nd Saturday in August
The second weekend in August, qualifying Tehama County children are taken on a shopping trip to purchase new clothing, shoes, and backpacks. Each of these children receive $100.00 worth of clothing in preparation for the school year. They are partnered with a volunteer shopper who helps them with selections. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who make this a memorable experience for the children and thank you to the staff at the Red Bluff Walmart store for making our shopping experience exceptional!
Children participate in this event BY SELECTION ONLY!
Since 2004, over 1000 local children have went back to school
looking and feeling good about themselves!

Cuts for Kids-2nd Sunday in August
at the Red Bluff Community Center 2-6pm
The day after the shopping day, we provide a day of free haircuts for any school-age child in the community. Licensed hair stylists donate their time and talent to provide children with sharp haircuts to begin the first weeks of school looking their best. The event also includes: children's games, face painting, informational booths, free food and live music, this is a wonderful day of outreach to the families in our community.
